Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1948 for a competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the La Chaise became a product of artistic elegance. The La Chaise takes influence and inspiration from the sculpture by Gaston Lanchaise titled the Floating Figure.
The elegant design adopts a moulded fibreglass body, shaped to accommodate various reclining and seated positions of the body. The La Chaise not only exuberates comfort, but is a desired object of glamour, relaxation and style. -
