Charles and Ray Eames are among the most prominent designers and architects of the 20th century. An exciting new exhibition at the Barbican explores their careers and extraordinary work at the Eames House in Los Angeles, California, where they spent almost four decades living and working together. They used the house (also known as Case Study House #8) as their office, and it was namely there that many of the iconic 20th century furniture pieces were conceived, including the Eames Plastic chair, Eames Lounge chair, and Eames Aluminium chair among others.
