Salone del Mobile 2015
The Milan Design Fair, or Salone del Mobile, is arguably the biggest and most important event in the furniture industry. The 54th edition of the show this year was as exciting as ever, with over 2000 exhibitors showcasing the best in furniture design to more than 310,840 visitors from all over the world. Our dedicated team was thrilled to see the new products of our favourite brands exhibited at the show and to visit their stylish showrooms. Below is a small selection of some of the hot new designs that we captured during our three days in Milan.
Don't miss pre-Christmas delivery dates
We know it may seem early to start thinking about Christmas. It is not really in our nature to start shouting about it early - we don't all want to be fed up hearing about it as early as October. However, as much of our furniture is made to order with typical lead times of 6 to 8 weeks, we do all need to plan ahead more at this time of year. We will post again soon with specific deadlines for individual brands, but in the meantime it is safe to say the earlier you order the better your chances are of getting that new Tulip table, Eames lounge chair or whatever it is you need to be ready for the festive season.
Couch Potato Company presenting Wewood and Stouby at Design Junction 2014
The twelfth edition of London Design Festival took place from 13 to 21 September 2014, showcasing some of the major design events in London, including 100% Design, Decorex, Tent London, Focus, and Design Junction. The festival is an annual event aiming to promote London’s creativity and bring together creatives, retailers, and practitioners from different design fields, including interior design, lighting and furniture.
This year, Couch Potato Company exhibited at Design Junction at the artsy Old Sorting Office on New Oxford Street, presenting two exciting European brands: Wewood from Portugal and Stouby from Denmark. This was the official UK launch of Wewood’s Mister sideboard designed by Daniel Duarte.
Weekend at Mason & Objet with Wewood
We are enjoying helping out the Wewood stand at Maison & Objet in Paris. We are the UK distributor for this Portugese company which makes stunning wooden pieces from solid oak and walnut. There has already been a great reaction to the products, especially the two desks.
