The Eames RAR rocking chair was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950. Vitra have now introduced a new all black version of the chair as part of their Home Stories for Winter campaign. It features a sleek black shell, black powder coated frame, and a dark maple base. The black frame for the RAR is available as standard from 2016.

The Vitra Black collection also includes a black Eames Hang It All, black Triangle Clock, LTR Occasional Table with a black frame, and a black Eames Elephant.
