  • The Platner Dining Table is a key item designed by Warren Platner in 1966 for the Platner Collection. The table is comprised of a circular base of welded and curved steel strands, topped by a tempered glass or marble surface. Both of these structural elements combined allow the product to evoke a sense of lightness and clarity. A real midcentury design icon, the table can fit any interior, classic or contemporary. The Platner Dining Table was used in one of the Finale scenes in the film Quantum of Solace from the James Bond series.

Frame features vertical steel wire rods welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods Base features a clear plastic extrusion ring that creates a smooth bottom surface Top features 3/8"-thick tempered glass, or marble. Marble tops have 4 separate layers of a special polyester coating, to ensures that the marble remains pristine for many years.

The large table tops weigh over 100kg and delivery charges reflect the additional manpower required. Prices assume UK mainland delivery on the ground floor with easy access. Please request a quote for delivery if your circumstances are different. As the tables are so large and heavy, additional delivery charges apply to deliveries above ground floor and where access is difficult.
